Enamel Cast Iron Casseroles because the enamel coating can crack and break off during use, potentially becoming a hot projectile which can cause burns and lacerations to cooks and those standing nearby. Macy's has received two reports of the enamel dislodging and flying out of the casserole during use, though no injuries have been reported.
